This is such a cool product! Ordered for me and a coworker. We’re Outdoor Educators and it made our lives so much easier with our nalgenes! 10/10!!! We love them!!!
I bought your product after seeing someone else with it. I also bought some Amazon knockoffs. Yours is made of metal and screws onto the top of Nalgene. The knock off is a firm plastic and you have to push on over screw top. I tested both out and find yours more secure and durable.. I am a scoutmaster and use my Nalgene a lot so having a more secure holder that is not bulky is what I was looking for.

Why wouldn't I use the plastic loop on my Nalgene?
To put simply - the plastic loop is not built for hanging your bottle. The plastic will stretch and break overtime, leading to lost bottles or a hazard in high exposure activities.
The Cap Strap is built for those who need a dependable alternative. It uses an aluminum ring, bar tack stitching, and 1 inch webbing so you can take your bottle with you - wherever you go.
Why does the Cap Strap not fit on the 48oz or Ultralite bottles?
The Cap Strap is designed to screw onto Nalgene and similar bottles and sit under the Cap. In order for a bottle to be compatible with the Cap Strap there needs to be some space between the Cap and the lower flange of the bottle. On the 48oz and Ultralite bottles, the gap is too narrow and the Cap Strap stops the bottle from sealing.
