Love the product, shipping was sad

Had to get it shipped from a buddy that lives in the US as I live in Canada and they don't ship here.

Cap strap for Nalgene bottles.

Hey I love the strap it works awesome, i rock climbing, and whitewater canoe. The biggest downside to nalgenes is the cap keepers brake and I have lost a few water bottles because of that. With the cap strap I can tie my nalgen into my canoe and it's going nowhere. And my belay partner no longer scared of a waterbottle hitting him because it broke lose from my harness. I modified it a little though I bent the ears down out of the way so it was more conformable to drink from. Awesome product!!

Why wouldn't I use the plastic loop on my Nalgene?

To put simply - the plastic loop is not built for hanging your bottle. The plastic will stretch and break overtime, leading to lost bottles or a hazard in high exposure activities.

The Cap Strap is built for those who need a dependable alternative. It uses an aluminum ring, bar tack stitching, and 1 inch webbing so you can take your bottle with you - wherever you go.

Why does the Cap Strap not fit on the 48oz or Ultralite bottles?

The Cap Strap is designed to screw onto Nalgene and similar bottles and sit under the Cap. In order for a bottle to be compatible with the Cap Strap there needs to be some space between the Cap and the lower flange of the bottle. On the 48oz and Ultralite bottles, the gap is too narrow and the Cap Strap stops the bottle from sealing.
