Worked on my Nalgene

I’m using this hanger on a 48oz wide ultralight. Seems to be doing just fine.

This was the solution for dealing with a pack that has horrible dimensions for someone with short arms; to reach back and grab the bottle.

Now it just hangs where I attach it and I can hydrate as needed with little fuss.

Gets the job done

this strap fixed a minor inconvenience with a solid build. the strap seems durable and the ring is metal. there’s a little gap which makes it rattle against the bottle a bit but honestly not that big of a deal.

Why wouldn't I use the plastic loop on my Nalgene?

To put simply - the plastic loop is not built for hanging your bottle. The plastic will stretch and break overtime, leading to lost bottles or a hazard in high exposure activities.

The Cap Strap is built for those who need a dependable alternative. It uses an aluminum ring, bar tack stitching, and 1 inch webbing so you can take your bottle with you - wherever you go.

Why does the Cap Strap not fit on the 48oz or Ultralite bottles?

The Cap Strap is designed to screw onto Nalgene and similar bottles and sit under the Cap. In order for a bottle to be compatible with the Cap Strap there needs to be some space between the Cap and the lower flange of the bottle. On the 48oz and Ultralite bottles, the gap is too narrow and the Cap Strap stops the bottle from sealing.
